14-01-2026

We are pleased to announce the completion of our exit from Suntera Global, with all necessary regulatory approvals now achieved.

After a period of strong growth, supported by a number of significant strategic acquisitions during our investment, Valeas Capital Partners was announced in May 2025 as Suntera’s new equity partner.

The successful exit generated a 2.6x return for our investors.

Tom Wildig, Partner at Palatine, said: “Since our initial investment in June 2019, we worked in very close partnership with David Hudson and his management team to drive remarkable growth. Revenue has exceeded £70m, the workforce has more than doubled to over 500 employees, and seven strategic acquisitions delivered significant international expansion alongside impressive organic growth.

“It was a privilege to support Suntera through this transformative period, and we wish them all the best as they continue to move forward in 2026.”

Major acquisitions during our investment included Carey Commercial, Nedgroup Trust and Helm Trust Companyin the Channel Islands and New Jersey-based fund administration businessSocium Fund Services, which provided Suntera its first foothold in the US.

In addition to M&A activity, Suntera broadened its range of its client service offering, strengthened its international sales function across its global footprint and embedded a new global ERP platform.

The company’s headquarters was also relocated to Jersey, a recognised international hub for the fund services sector, with a strong administrative base remaining in the Isle of Man, where the business was founded.

Suntera Global CEO, David Hudson, said:“The successful completion of the investment by Valeas with the blessing of the regulators in each of our jurisdictions is another positive step on Suntera’s journey. Since we announced the investment in May last year, and with the support of our debt provider, Carlyle, we have completed on three significant acquisitions in the United Kingdom, Luxembourg and Singapore and our positive momentum as a group continues as we invest strategically in key growth areas and execute on our exciting go forward plans. We anticipate many such milestones ahead and look forward to this stage of our journey.”

We are delighted to have completed our strategic investment in Suntera and excited to support David and the team in this next phase of the group’s journey.
