Double new Board appointments at The MOLE Clinic
The MOLE Clinic is the only UK private clinic dedicated to offering skin cancer screening, diagnosis and mole removal services. Its mission is to lower UK skin cancer mortality rates by screening tens of thousands of patients a year to detect potential skin cancers at an early stage, when they are far more easily treatable.
Our Impact Fund acquired a majority stake in the business in August 2024, investing alongside Founder and CEO Iain Mack, who formed the business in 2003 following his own diagnosis of melanoma skin cancer in 2002.
Since August 2024, The MOLE Clinic has already grown from 4 to 8 sites, and the growth plan will see the number of clinics continue to grow over the next 3 years. The business has pioneered the use of AI in skin cancer diagnosis since its early days, combining screening insights from the latest technology with the expertise of our specialist nurses and doctors.
For the next stage of this journey, The MOLE Clinic is delighted to be welcoming Christopher Langley as its new Chairman. Christopher brings a wealth of experience and expertise across the healthcare sector, where he has held board positions across a broad range of public and private sector organisations. The MOLE Clinic will also benefit from Christopher’s roll-out experience, where his previous positions include Managing Director of the 350 store high street electrical retailer Dixons and Chief Executive of the Jessops PLC chain.
Christopher’s appointment follows the appointment of Emma Jones as Chief Marketing Officer in December 2024. Emma brings extensive experience in marketing, having worked in both the finance and retail sectors. Her focus will be to drive marketing strategies and enhance brand presence across various platforms.
Christopher Langley, Chairman at The MOLE Clinic, said: “I am thrilled to join this incredible team at The MOLE Clinic. I look forward to working together to grow the business and continue our mission of providing exceptional care and advancing skin cancer detection.”
Iain Mack, CEO of The MOLE Clinic, said: “We are looking forward to working with Christopher. His extensive experience and expertise, particularly in the healthcare sector, will be invaluable as we continue to grow and enhance our services.”
“ Christopher has an exceptional track record of helping companies like The MOLE Clinic to achieve ambitious growth plans, whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer service and governance. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with him on our own exciting growth journey over the coming years.”
