Routes Healthcare expands into Derbyshire with acquisition of Just A Little Company
Routes Healthcare has expanded into Derbyshire with the acquisition of Chesterfield-based care provider Just A Little Company (Care and Support at Home) Ltd.
The move forms part of Routes’ ongoing strategy to build scale in high-quality home and complex care – a strategy we continue to support, including through further targeted acquisitions across the North and Midlands.
Just A Little Company has been providing quality care in Chesterfield for 10 years, building trusted relationships with clients and families.
Its existing care teams will continue supporting their local community, now backed by Rochdale-headquartered Routes’ centralised functions in clinical governance, training, HR and operations – allowing carers to focus on delivering high-standards care.
Routes’ expansion will bring new investment, stability, and resources to local home care and complex care in Derbyshire:
- Local care teams continuing to deliver personalised support across their communities.
- Access to Routes’ specialist clinical team of more than 13 registered nurses for complex care oversight.
- Enhanced training and professional development through Routes Academy, an accredited and award-winning training provider for care professionals.
- Strengthened HR, recruitment and quality assurance systems built over 15 years of care delivery.
- Responsive capability to meet urgent and evolving care needs.
All existing team members remain in place to ensure a smooth transition. Kirsha Leonard continues as Registered Manager, preserving trusted relationships and continuity of care.
Tom Wildig, Senior Investment Director at Palatine, said: “We are pleased to support Routes Healthcare as it extends its geographical footprint into Derbyshire. Demand for high-quality home and complex care continues to grow, and Routes is well placed to meet that need.
“We are actively backing the team in pursuing further strategic acquisitions across the North and into the Midlands, particularly in complex homecare, and we welcome conversations with advisors who share that focus.”
Narinder Singh, CEO, Routes Healthcare, said: “Our expansion into Derbyshire reflects a long-term commitment to improving access to high-quality home and complex care across the region. Just A Little Company has built an excellent reputation in Chesterfield, and by combining local insight with our clinical and operational support, we can deliver even greater impact for clients and their families.”
It’s a positive step for our clients and our team. Joining Routes means we can keep doing what we do best – caring for people in our community – backed by additional clinical, training and operational support. That combination gives us real confidence in the future.
