Palatine Pledges £30,000 to Support IntoUniversity Centres in Salford and Harpurhey

23-02-2026

We have pledged £30,000 to support the IntoUniversity Salford and Harpurhey centres, reinforcing our commitment to widening access to education and creating opportunities for young people across Greater Manchester.

The three-year pledge from 2026 to 2028, will contribute to the ongoing running costs of both centres. The Salford and Harpurhey centres are part of IntoUniversity’s national network and are delivered in partnership with The University of Manchester.

IntoUniversity works with young people from underrepresented backgrounds, providing academic support, mentoring, and aspiration-raising programmes designed to help them achieve their potential and progress to higher education and professional careers.

The funding will help ensure the continued delivery of vital educational support and enrichment activities for local students, equipping them with the confidence, skills and guidance needed to succeed.

Gary Tipper, Group Managing Partner at Palatine said: “We believe talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not always evenly distributed. By supporting IntoUniversity’s Salford and Harpurhey centres, we’re playing a small part in helping to level the playing field for young people in our local communities. We’re proud to work alongside The University of Manchester to create meaningful opportunities for young people across the region.”

This pledge reflects our broader commitment to investing responsibly and supporting initiatives that create long-term social value within our local communities.
