Back to the shop floor for Gusto HQ

23-08-2018

On Thursday the 23rd of August the entire head office support team at Gusto Italian headed back to the shop floor for their inaugural Make A Difference day.

All 18 members, including the full leadership team, took up roles in the kitchen, host, bar, and front of house, working alongside the restaurant team for a full shift.

Matt Snell, managing director at Gusto, said: “This day is based on our company values of sharing passion and knowledge, doing the right thing, and making a difference.  Gusto HQ is the support team for our restaurants and it’s imperative that we remain close to what happens in the sites.

We’re also putting in place swaps for the restaurant teams, so that they too can gain a real insight into the jobs and roles we fulfil at Gusto HQ.

This will be the first of many Make A Difference days and I’m very much looking forward to hearing the feedback from across the business. I myself shall be in the kitchen at Gusto Italian York – swing by and say hello!”

The desk is a dangerous place from which to view the world. Getting out and about and listening to our teams and our guests is the best way to really understand what is important for our business, and a great way of forging stronger bonds between the sites and the head office.
