Palatine partners with the Tackle4MCR Fund

Palatine Private Equity has partnered up with Tackle4MCR, the newly established charity initiative addressing rough sleeping in Manchester.

The charity, which is spearheaded by Manchester City Football Club captain Vincent Kompany and the Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, is a first-of-its-kind fundraising vehicle dedicated to the Greater Manchester Mayor’s Homelessness Fund.

Tackle4MCR is hosting three fundraising activities that are aiming to raise as much money as possible for the cause. These include:

  1. A fundraising gala dinner on 3rd February 2019, in collaboration with the Hilton Manchester Deansgate Hotel.
  2. A participative city-wide campaign; ‘Football Friday’ in Spring 2018 in collaboration with influential media partners.
  3. A gala football match at the Etihad Stadium following the close of the 2018/19 Premier League season, courtesy of and in close collaboration with Manchester City Football Club.

Tackle4MCR is an excellent initiative that is a testament to the generosity of the Manchester community. This is a special place with special people, and we expect the whole city to get behind the campaign and help address rough sleeping and homelessness.

It is believed that over 500 people are sleeping rough in Manchester alone. To eradicate the issue is an ambitious target, but Andy Burnham’s scheme has made great progress since it launched in December last year. We want to ensure that this momentum continues, so we have pledged to support the initiative that will change the lives of so many people.
