Generating strong returns and creating shareholder value is paramount in private equity. Yet what I believe is equally important is generating those returns with purpose, which is why I joined the impact fund team at Palatine.

I obtained almost 10 years’ mergers and acquisitions (M&A) experience at BDO, during which time I gained a thorough understanding of corporate finance and private equity. I thoroughly enjoyed operating in the corporate finance community, however I wanted to work more closely with management teams, add more value and be part of building something with a team whose shared vision was scaling profit alongside making a positive impact on society or the environment.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, dining out, travelling and keeping myself fit. I try to visit the gym as often as I can and supplement that with playing football, where I am still clinging on to the later stages of my ‘career’. I am also a keen football supporter, enduring years of frustration following Tottenham Hotspur (with the exception of course of the recent Europa League success – let’s hope it’s not another 17 years until the next trophy…).
