James Painter

I support the entrepreneurs we back to scale their businesses. I work as part of Palatine’s Technology team and also have significant experience in buy and build strategies.  

As a Partner, my role includes investment appraisal and selection where I spend a lot of time meeting with entrepreneurs and getting to know their businesses. I devote a significant amount of time upfront in understanding businesses and work with management teams post deal to help them meet their growth aspirations.

I joined Palatine in February 2016 from KPMG Corporate Finance and have over 10 years’ experience in private equity. I am a Chartered Accountant and graduated with a First Class Management degree from the University of Nottingham in 2010.

Outside of work I enjoy playing football, skiing and planning my next travel destination.
